From carousel rides to field days to art shows, kids at BCS programs had a summer full of outdoor adventure, creative expression and academic support! BCS summer programming includes enriching activities all summer long at four Cornerstone community centers and NYC COMPASS programs for elementary students.
…attended a carnival! Staff at PS 306 in East New York transformed the school into a carnival complete with balloons, games, and prizes.…explored the Bronx Zoo! Students at the Farragut Cornerstone saw their favorite animals up close and learned about the different creatures that live in the park.…created art inspired by popular culture of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s! Students at PS 306 studied fashion and music trends of these eras and made art projects that emulated each decade.…played and picnicked at Brooklyn Bridge Park! The Farragut Cornerstone students rode the carousel, admired the views, and enjoyed their lunch under the sun.…participated in a field day! All four Cornerstones gathered for a day of healthy competition where students and staff flexed their tug-of-war skills and cheered on their teammates.…had a blast at Dave and Buster’s, caught butterflies, choreographed a BCS cheer routine and so much more!
