Sherika Love, mother of two students at BCS Carey Gardens Cornerstone, recently became a certified nursing assistant. She used $50 gift cards provided by BCS to purchase school supplies for her children heading back to school. Read more >>
Omima Ali, a deli worker in Brooklyn, emigrated from Egypt to New York and met consistent job insecurity. Her perseverance led her to the BCS Education Center, where she earned a Food Protection Certificate and is working towards her High School Equivalency Degree. Read more >>
Hilda Arcangel and Christine Colon, Community Health Workers at BCS, work on the front lines of BCS’ COVID Disparities Program. They partner with local organizations to bring vaccine referrals, PPE, and fresh food to East New York, Brooklyn. Read more >>
In November, BCS Community Health Workers helped a local church bring 100 turkeys to families. The church lacked the funds to fully support this endeavor, but relied on its relationship with BCS to make this a reality. Read more >>
